Miami Dolphins Week 18 injury report feat. Tua Tagovailoa
The Denver Broncos succumbed to the Cincinnati Bengals in overtime on the road last weekend, squandering the chance to extinguish the Miami Dolphins’ playoff aspirations and earn their first postseason trip in eight years. The Dolphins are still in the race for the playoffs, owing to that conclusion and their victory against the Cleveland Browns in Week 17.
In Week 18, the Dolphins will face off against the 4-12 New York Jets, who are now eighth in the 2025 NFL draft order. Miami will qualify for the playoffs for the third consecutive season if they win and the Broncos lose to the Kansas City Chiefs at home.

Miami Dolphins injury report for Week 18
The Miami Dolphins‘ injury issue is still dominated by quarterback Tua Tagovailoa‘s hip condition, but on Wednesday, three players left practice totally due to injuries.
Additionally, offensive tackle Kendall Lamm was placed on injured reserve on Wednesday. It’s unclear what placed Lamm on injured reserve, because he played against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 16 and Cleveland on Sunday after missing the Week 15 game against the Houston Texans due to a back issue.
Linebacker Anthony Walker Jr. (knee), safety Jordan Poyer (knee/finger), and offensive tackle Terron Armstead (knee) also missed Miami’s practice on Wednesday. Defensive tackle Calais Campbell (rest) was also DNP, although he’s not battling with any injury.
Walker has not yet returned to practice after missing last week’s win against the Cleveland Browns. Regarding Armstead, he went down with a knee injury during the first half of last weekend’s game and never returned.
Four other prominent Dolphins players were also listed as limited participants in Wednesday’s practice: safety Jevon Holland (wrist), punter Jake Bailey (back), wide receiver Jaylen Waddle (knee), wide receiver Tyreek Hill (hand/rest), and Tagovailoa (hip).
Tagovailoa is suffering with a hip ailment he received against the Houston Texans in Week 15. He was able to play with the injury in Week 16 against the 49ers but was unable to participate last week against the Browns.
Coach Mike McDaniel revealed on Wednesday that the club will have backup quarterback Tyler Huntley ready as the QB1 for Week 18. Additionally, he added that the team will have time to return to Tagovailoa as the week goes on if he completely recovers.
Linebacker Duke Riley participated completely in Wednesday’s practice despite having a foot ailment reported on the injury report.
